Edmonton Feb 24 Amendments to the Liquor Control Act were explained in the legislature by Attorney General J J Brownlee. Measures prohibit beer agents from canvassing except hotels clubs and canteens and add to the definition of liquor to include mixtures. Additional provisions regulate club licenses ownership of residences liquor room separations and board powers over permits sales returns and penalties.

Crossman Wheat Theft Case At Supreme Court
Mrs. Crossman testified as the first witness in the continuing trial of Andrew Crossman charged with stealing wheat. She described loading from the granary near the Crossman house on November 20, 1923, and noted tracks and wagon movements while Crossman and Paul Brosnikoff allegedly prepared a load for Burstall to obtain coal. Crossman admitted taking two tons of coal from Burstall to settle debts and claimed the wheat was loaded for coal purchase.
