Centre plans arena seating to six and a half thousand

The motion proposes a 5500 fixed seats hockey arena convertible to 6500 in main seating. An additional 500 capacity exists in boxes and floor areas. A referendum option could be offered. The $70 million price poses a hurdle while consultants claim under $94 million is possible.

Nicholls aims to restore normal school environment

Nicholls says the goal is to return Parkside School to normal as soon as possible. Mastel, listed as Grades 8 and 9 science teacher and coach for volleyball and basketball, faced release conditions barring contact with the victim or any minor without a guardian, plus a midnight to 5 a.m. curfew and restrictions on parks, schools, or pools.
