Medicine Hat opens new city homeless shelter

Garth Vallely cut the ribbon Friday to open Medicine Hat's new homeless shelter at 737 Eighth St SE. The Salvation Army will run the 30 bed facility with 6 residents moving in Monday, while volunteers from St Vincent de Paul provide 24 hours weekly.
