Medicine Hat faces a fresh shortage of nominations as city officials open two library board vacancies and five recreation commission seats. As of this morning one nomination for the library and three for the commission have been received. Nominations from any organization or individual are welcome and must be filed by 5 p.m. Monday.
Ed Irving, manager of Community Food Services Ltd., was released on $1000 bail after appearing in court on fraud charges. The case was remanded to Lethbridge Magistrate's Court for January 6, 1965.
Prime Minister Pearson said no judicial inquiry into immigration is planned until Sedgwick reports on deportation procedures next week. A special team of outside consultants will review administration, with tenders soon. He noted nonuniform appeal board procedures and called for a white paper on policy.
