In Regina on December 30 a ceremony in the chapel of the Royal Northwest Mounted Police marked the unveiling of a bronze tablet honoring Inspector Fitzgerald, Constables Taylor and Kinney, and Special Constable Canter who died on patrol.

Karl Clause an 18 year old burglar was fatally wounded after breaking into George Sabourin’s pool room at 415 Cedar Street in St Paul at 5 am. Night watchman Alexander Trezona, an employee, grappled with the intruder and fired after unsuccessful restraint. Trezona is charged with attempted murder. Clause lies unconscious in hospital shot through the stomach.
Attorney General Wickersham said federal judges were extremely lenient in sentencing labor officials convicted in the dynamite conspiracy case at Indianapolis.
