The largest delegation of Anglican missionaries ever to depart Canada sails in January. Miss Allee Hague and Miss Clara Thompson head for Kangra India, Doctors Paul Hollowell and several ministers from Ontario and Quebec head for Honan China and Japan. Due to danger in Honan they will stay in Shanghai to study Chinese until it is safe to enter the interior.

Fire destroys Wardell store and home in Huntaville
Fire at M. Wardell and Sons store in Huntaville Ontario broke out in the rear about 7:45 am and within fifteen minutes the block was ablaze. Firemen failed to save stock or household furniture. the Wardell family were evacuated from upper windows in nightgowns.

Wreck on Great Northern Train Kills Many Near Sharon
Westbound Great Northern passenger train No 4 left Minneapolis last night and ran off a broken rail near Sharon North Dakota. Four dead and as many as twenty killed are reported as wreckage burned in a ditch in 12 below zero conditions. Rescue trains and temporary hospitals rushed to the scene with doctors and supplies.
