Tigers trade Svejkovsky to Thunderbirds
The Medicine Hat Tigers ship star centre Lukas Svejkovsky to the Seattle Thunderbirds three weeks before the WHL trade deadline. In return the Tigers receive a 2022 first round pick a conditional 2023 second round pick and a conditional 2025 third round pick. Tigers coach GM Willie Desjardins called the move hard but beneficial for the team's future.
