Five murder charges filed in Martinsville family slayings
In Martinsville Virginia Eddie Lee Thomas 34 was charged with five counts of murder and one of rape in the killings of Sally Aliff and her four children Peggy Marie 10 Charlotte Ann 8 James Alvin 4 and Vernon Darrell 2. The mother was strangled and the children shot in a wooded gully near their home. Thomas held on 100000 bail. police say Aliff not a suspect.
