Safe Blown Open Near Moose Jaw With Nitro-Glyc
A safe in James Duncan's implement dealer office at Pasqua ten miles east of Moose Jaw was blown Thursday night. About five dollars in cash vanished and $700 in registered Victory bonds were left on the floor. Provincial Police from Regina and Moose Jaw investigated the robbery. The job used nitroglycerine to blow off the combination. W. H. Banfield, a Toronto manufacturer born in Quebec, is dead.

Fatal Coal Oil Explosion Fatal in Farrelton Home
In Farrelton Quebec on December 25, fifteen year old Gladys Carroll died after coal oil used to light a dining room stove exploded. Her mother tried to put out the flames but suffered burns to hands and face. The Carrolls are well known farmers in the community.

Net revenues of Canadian rail roads rise in October
Freight traffic across Canadian railroads grew in October compared with 1924 by about 10.8 percent, driven by earlier harvests. Total revenues reached 48 million dollars, up 9.9 percent, while net operating revenue rose nearly 9 million and the operating ratio fell to 65.71 percent, the lowest since 1900. Saskatoon police found James E. Johnson, a railway mail clerk, unconscious and bloodied at his home after a late night attack with a wedge shaped weapon presumed to be an axe.
