Bandit Robbed Dominion Bank in Vancouver

A lone masked bandit held up the Dominion Bank on Robson and Hornby Streets in Vancouver shortly after ten this morning, forcing manager FF Breddy and teller B Cornish to the wall and fleeing with cash. Police captured Frank Barlow, 29, of Vancouver, within an hour and recovered about 1500 of the stolen money after he surrendered.

Three Shots Fired at Argentine President Yrigoyen

In Buenos Aires on December 24 an assassination attempt failed as three shots were fired at President Yrigoyen near his residence. The president escaped unharmed, while his chauffeur was killed and the police commissioner wounded before the attacker was shot by a bodyguard. The assailant was immediately executed.
