Canada launches 1.5 billion ship program for six frigates

Ottawa outlines first stage of a 1.5 billion plan to boost shipbuilding and replace aging destroyers. Antelope deaths near plant prompt toxic chemical inquiry

Officials study the deaths of more than 40 antelope near a Medicine Hat chemical plant. Tissue samples were sent to Lethbridge for testing to determine if a toxic chemical caused the fatalities and whether release was accidental or deliberate. The investigation continues.
