Lions Give 1500 To CNIB During Christmas Visit

Settlement Reached To End 12 Week Miners Strike
A pre Christmas settlement was reached between Hol linger Consolidated Gold Mines and the United Steelworkers of America CIO CCL. Miners in Timmins voted on the deal with 1 500 workers facing a 18 month contract and a five cent an hour raise.
