Funeral service for Allen Knox Gibson a leading figure in Medicine Hat insurance will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in Westminster United Church with Rev. Robert Thompson officiating. Burial follows in Hillside Cemetery. Gibson died Tuesday in Medicine Hat General Hospital after a two week illness. He was born in Harden Montana in 1909 and moved to Red Cliff Mount Vernon and later Canada. He joined Lang Brothers later Lang Brothers and Gibson Limited became president in 1952. Survived by wife Frances daughter Patricia son Donald mother Lucy Gibson brother Charles and four sisters. Lang Brothers and Gibson offices will close Thursday out of respect.
