Ottawa announced a new contract to ship 71 million dollars worth of wheat and barley to Communist China in early 1962. The sale uses 25 percent cash and nine month credit, payable in convertible pounds sterling. shipments will keep west coast ports near maximum capacity through winter.
Mr. Hamilton cites China buying 220 million dollars worth of wheat and barley since early this year, with 94 million bushels of wheat and 38 million bushels of barley.
