Icy roads spark a spate of local wrecks in city
Snowbound streets caused 33 vehicle collisions in a 24 hour period, with two injuries reported at Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. Allan Jacobs of Connaught Drive was hospitalized for facial injuries after his Oldsmobile struck a pup trailer near 32nd Street. The pup trailer, hit while exiting Nor 1 Trucking yard, sustained $2,000 damage while the Oldsmobile suffered about $14,000 in damage. Amanda Isner, 9, was treated after a crash on Calder Road where Debra Isner’s 1981 Ford Granada collided with a parked 1983 Pontiac Le Mans. The Le Mans owner is Arthur Aasman. other repairs included $5,000 on the Ford, $4,000 on the Le Mans, and $1,000 on the Chevrolet.
