Trans-Canada bridge opened with ceremony and fanfare
The new Trans-Canada bridge over the South Saskatchewan River opened with motorists honking and celebrations led by Transportation Minister Wayne Drysdale. The project, begun September 2011, faced a collapse in March 2012 when financier Bank of Nova Scotia pulled support from parent TriWest, ending ConCreate USL’s contract.
