Turner Valley oil field estimated at 20 years by geologist
Calgary December 16 The McGillivray Oil Commission heard Calgary geologist Stanley J Davies estimate reserves in Turner Valley at about 105 million barrels based on proven and unproven areas. Dr Boatright and Dr Link offered higher totals up to 256 million barrels if additional acreage proves productive. Davies applied production rates to the entire area concluding a 20 year supply at 5.5 million barrels yearly, with drilling costs around 27 million dollars and potential net revenue near 23 million after royalties.

George Vernard was identified by prints as Arthur Musica, brother of Philip Musica known as F Donald Coster, president of McKesson and Robbins Inc. Irving Kaufman said he sought Washington fingerprint files for George Dietrich, the drug firm’s assistant treasurer. Dietrich and Vernard are named in securities act indictments alongside Coster. Vernard was arrested in Montreal earlier this week.
