Pfeiffer died November 25 at Medicine Hat General Hospital from head and back injuries suffered in an automobile crash November 11. Soviet demand to hand over German NATO chief for trial

Moscow reported Russia asked the United States to arrest and surrender Gen. Adolf Heusinger, former Nazi officer and German NATO chair, for war crimes. Two Die in Trailer Near Chaplin Saskatchewan

Police identified Jan Molling 26 of Moose Jaw and William Chalupiak 27 of Regina found dead in a frozen trailer near Chaplin 50 miles west of Moose Jaw. Molling recently arrived from the Netherlands. Chalupiak was married. Both believed to operate a local dragline. Autopsy and inquest ordered. foul play not suspected.
