Longtime Finns Lake resident John Hunt dies at 81

John Hunt of Finns Lake died in the city yesterday at age 81. He leaves a widow and a large family including four sons George L Edward J Clement S and Arthur plus six daughters named Mrs Fitzgerald Mrs Mc Donald Mrs D Arcy Mrs Phillips Mrs Cordery and Mrs Alece of England. The health board sought costs for a milk testing lab room and a $50 monthly rent, with motions referred to committees and deferred to council next year for final decision on funding.

Redcliffe Gas Rights Clash With Medicine Hat Officials

Redcliff town council and Medicine Hat officials met informally in the mayor's office to clarify gas rights status and determine Medicine Hat's steps to transfer rights near Redcliff. Ald. Strathcona Plan Adopts Renumbering of City Streets

After months of work Ald. McClellan leads council to adopt the Strathcona plan for renaming and numbering Medicine Hat streets. The system divides the city into four quadrants with central numbering starting at 101 and 1901 for blocks and avenues, and uses named classes in districts where grids do not apply.
