Bootlegger Car Seizures Hit Montana to Alberta Routes

Last week the A.P.P. seized several bootlegger cars traveling from Montana to Alberta points near Manyberries Bow Island Lethbridge and Coutts. A Ford and a Dodge plus a racing Stutz were confiscated. the owner eluded a padlocked chase before arrest. Cars were handed to the customs detention department.

The adjourned annual meeting of the Agricultural Society will be held at the board of trade rooms tomorrow at 2 o'clock. Attendees are urged to attend to form a strong board of directors to guide the society in promoting better farming and stock raising in the Medicine Hat district.

In Edmonton on December 8, Joseph A. Clarke was elected mayor with a margin of 487 votes over rival Alderman Charla Whitson. Clarke received 4762 ballots to Wilsons 4275. New aldermen named include C. J. Hepburn J. McCoppen H. M. Martin J. J. McKenzie A. R. McLennan and C. H. Grant. Public school chair W. Rae and trustee A. Duggin were reappointed with Dr. F.
