Alberta limits debate on Heritage Fund as filibuster ends
In a 43 to 5 vote at 12 05 a m the Alberta government passed a limitation motion to end a 23 day opposition filibuster over the 9 billion Heritage Fund. The moveshut off further debate on Capital Trust Fund estimates about 400 million and three appropriation bills. Opposition leaders accused the government of curbing free speech while defending security of fund and withholding audit letters.
