Bridge Collapse Strikes Logging Train In British Columbia
FRANKLIN RIVER BC Dec 8 An undetermined number of loggers were injured when a small bridge collapsed under a logging locomotive derailing the passenger coach 15 miles inland. Reports from Bloedel Stewart and Welch Logging Company said none of the 50 or 60 men on the work train were killed. Injured received first aid at the scene, and doctors from Port Alberni eight miles away were en route for hospitalization.
