Victory Loan totals reach $991,200 in state drive

Ottawa merchants condemned a group in Kitchener Ontario for denying the Prime Minister a public meeting. The resolution called the disturbers disloyal and urged Ottawa and Waterloo county manufacturers to withhold trade until they prove a desire to amend. Bow Island Boy Struck by Auto Sustains Skull Fracture

A Bow Island twelve year old boy, son of Mr Lord, was struck by an automobile while crossing a street on Wednesday. He was taken to Medicine Hat General Hospital with a fractured skull and was reported progressing favorably this morning.

Milnes Brother Dies of Wounds in France

Ernest Milnes of Ash Avenue receives official word from Ottawa that Private Herbert Milnes 696149 Infantry of the 175th has died of wounds on December 2 at 8 General Hospital Daimes Cammiers France. Milnes was wounded about November 9 and had been reported seriously ill. He was a well known resident near Chappice Lake with friends in the city who regret the loss.

Reverend Hall Visits Medicine Hat After Naval Institute Tour

Rev Dr Hall of Toronto chief chaplain of the Royal Naval Institutes of Canada returns from Esquimalt with the Governor General to open Canada’s first Royal Naval Institute for sailors.
