Sunday night armed robbery at Hops and Scotch in Medicine Hat

Medicine Hat police seek public help after an armed robbery at 303 Southridge Dr. S.E. Sunday night. A lone male, about 20, 5'2" to 5'6", slim, wearing a black fur-hood parka and ski mask, demanded money and fled on foot. Call 529-8400 with information.

Collision on Highway 36 reroutes traffic seven hours

A two car crash just north of the Bow River Bridge halted traffic for seven hours on Saturday. A northbound Pontiac Grand Prix collided with a southbound semi at about 6 p.m. The two adults and two children in the Pontiac were taken to Brooks Health Centre for observation and released. RCMP are investigating with charges pending. Lethbridge RCMP traffic services Scandia and Rolling Hills volunteer fire services and Brooks EMS aided at the scene.
