TransAir Seeks Subsidy for Prairie Milk Run

TransAir president Ron Turner told the Air Transport Board that his Winnipeg firm could seek a subsidy of 283,724 to operate the Winnipeg to Regina prairie milk run, with a 220,793 break-even need and 15 percent profit proposal. He criticized TCA’s route description while proposing two regional carriers to cover western Canada and the Great Lakes run without subsidy.

Police arrest two officers in Medicine Hat cash theft case

Constable James Gehring and ex constable Bill Plotsky were arrested and charged in connection with a $33,000 theft from the Medicine Hat Police station on Oct 30 1960. Plotsky posted $20 000 bail and Gehring remained in custody as investigators pursue recovery details.

Two Men Appear In Court For Cash Box Theft

Bill Plotsky and James Geh ring appeared before Magistrate A. Y. Spivack in police court at 2 20 pm charged with theft of a cash box valued over $50. Each is remanded for a week without election or plea with bail set at $20 000 with two securities. Plotsky previously released on similar bail. Gehring has been in custody since this morning.

Police warn youths over dangerous hill sliding near church
