In Ottawa on December 7, Dr J Alexander Quinel of Hull was found not guilty by Judge Ronald Gunn of performing an illegal operation on Rose Ferguson of Charlton Place Ottawa on October 18. East Defeats West in Annual Stock Show Grading
In Chicago Illinois on December 7 the East defeated the West for the first time since the stock show became annual. In the heavy draft horse class top prize went to Robert A. Son of stock operator commits suicide in Chicago vault
Harold O. Mumford aged 24, son of a well known stock and board of trade operator, shot and killed himself in a vault of his father's Postal Telegraph building office in Chicago. The father said he knew of no reason for the act. Mumford was employed by him.
