Nazi aircraft struck London during the morning rush hour and four daylight alarms were issued. Bombs caused injuries as the raid passed, with additional reports of planes over south Wales and the southwest and Midlands towns.

Francs Hugh Reilly aged 61 of 59 First St Northwest died on the trans Canada highway near the Riverside Bakery on Third Street Northwest about 11 pm last night. Police say James Tschritter of Foremost drove a two ton grain truck whose front bumper crushed the bicycle and threw Reilly clear. Tschritter is held on reckless driving charges as an inquest is set for 2:30 this afternoon.
