Libya offers to help United States in anti-terror drive

Tripoli leader Maj. Abdel Salam Jalloud expressed readiness to cooperate with the United States against terrorism while warning that a new U S attack could be likely. Blowout Kills Two Workers in Alberta Oil Field

A natural gas well near Edson Alberta blew out on Friday night killing two workers and sending eight others to hospital with serious burns. The incident occurred about 6 15 p m 40 kilometres south of Edson as ten employees from four service companies performed maintenance. The dead are Robert Boyd 29 Sexsmith and Brian Morton 29 Edmonton. Hospitals in Edmonton reported several critical injuries. ERCB and safety officials are assessing leakage points and fire containment while workers attempt to shut the rig tank fire and remove the rig from the wellhead.
