In Brindisi Italian police detained the captain of the burned Greek ferry Heleanna as he attempted to depart Italy. He faced homicide charges after a blaze Saturday that left at least 26 dead.
A Saskatchewan teen about 17 or 18 was found with a gunshot wound in the Kin Park pool on Allowance Ave. Police say the youth, who had lived in Medicine Hat for two years, likely died between 5 a.m. and 8 a.m. An autopsy is planned and no name will be released until family is notified.
