Aged Man Killed on Railway Tracks
J Veszler Sr. aged 80 was killed on the C P tracks near the east freight sheds about 8 30 this morning. He stepped from a freight car into the path of yard engine 6258 as it backed on an adjoining track. Engineer James Gray applied brakes and the engine stopped. Veszler was found dead under the locomotive with both legs severed above the knees after being dragged about thirty feet. Coroner Dr. Boyd declined an inquest after inquiry and the body was moved to Nott's parlors. Veszler leaves a large city family and farming district ties. his wife died about a year ago.
