Despatches from Las Palmas report 400 Spanish soldiers to embark on the transport Admerale to Sainte Croix La Minoure on the Moroccan coast south of Agadir. The move follows the July arrival of the German warship Panther, complicating Moroccan negotiations between Jules Cambon and Herr Von Kiderling.

Hamburg August 28. The Kaisers banquet speech praised naval protection for trade and navigation. He urged peaceful competition in world commerce and asserted the navy is developing powerfully and displaying discipline. He affirmed Hamburgers desire to strengthen the navy to secure a leading world position.

London Aug 28 announces the death of Dr Adam Rolland Rainy Liberal MP for Kilmarnock Burghs since 1906. He was the son of the noted Scots divine Principal Rainy. He entered politics in 1900 and first contested Kilmarnock Burghs that year. Hemorrhage of the brain caused his death.
Norman Williams president of the District Trades and Labor Council disappeared after leaving his Toronto home Tuesday morning. He was last seen at his usual work time and has not been heard from since. No known financial or domestic troubles are reported.
The Grampian arrived in Montreal yesterday with a consignment of seventy eight Clydesdale horses and five ponies. The horses were not landed last night as officials prepare for unloading.
Danbury opens the forty second annual convention of the Catholic Total Abstinence Union of Connecticut with high mass at St. Peter's Church and business sessions in the opera house. More than 300 delegates from across the state attend.

Prince Albert reports at 93.50 oclock Saturday night Hoo Sam a Chinaman in the restaurant business shot and killed Mark Yuen and wounded Mark Yin, his partners. Yin was shot three times while Hoo Sam was overpowered by John Frank and arrested. Yin hospital, slight chance of recovery.
Regina reports a fatal accident on the G T P when two men on a railway engine were crushed between the engine and a freight car while returning to camp seven miles northeast of the city. Four or five others were severely injured. details are sparse.
Communications by phone and telegraph with Charles Town Savannah Beaufort and Georgetown were interrupted by yesterday's coastal storm. Reports from coast stations were not restored this afternoon and the Columbia bureau could not determine the storm's direction. The bureau says it is not a West Indian hurricane though it resembles one from the West Indies.
Liverpool August 28. John Rogers and Co. report Birkenhead market showing little change. Saturday quotations place steers at 12 3 4 to 13 1 4 pence per pound and Canadian stock at 12 1 2 to 13 cents per pound.
