Fire Station 2 relocation approved by council

City council approves moving Fire Station 2 from Dunmore Road to the old Stokke Bulk Fuel Station lot on Trans-Canada Way and pays 750000 for the new lot. They will seek provincial Municipal Sustainability Initiative funds to help cover the move and may tap Land & Properties working capital if MSI funds are unavailable.

River Water exhibit and dramatic reading captivate Esplanade venue

The Esplanade Gallery opened its River Water exhibit featuring water themed sculpture and paintings by Western Canadian artists. A dramatic reading of Shirley Jean Tucker's play You're Loving, Kind and True, Jack Boy was staged at Ewart-Duggan house. The exhibit runs through October, celebrating the South Saskatchewan River as a life source amid prairie floods.
