Not a tough arrest in Ferndale bicycle case

A suspected bicycle thief, Thomas Jenkins, 19, of Hazel Park, hid in a locker at a Ferndale fire station after leaving a bike stolen from a 12-year-old Ferndale boy in Royal Oak. Det. John Thull said Jenkins could face up to five years in prison. An adult friend of the boy narrowly blocked Jenkins earlier that day.

Grizzly Attacks Ends Taberman’s Life Near Pincher Creek

In southern Alberta a 40 year old Taber man and father of three, Christopher John Kress, was mauled to death by a grizzly bear while camping with fishing near his backcountry site west of Pincher Creek. Officials closed the Castle River valley, evacuated campers, and investigated whether the nearby three to four year old male grizzly was the attacker.
