Four Survive Plane Crash In Snow-Swept Mountains

A single engine plane crashed in a canyon in the Colorado Rockies. Three men and a woman survived the wreck. Pilot A W Blue and co pilot Pursley were rescued while Ellis Lynn Shutts walked 20 miles to summon help. The injured wife Bonnie Shutts remained at the crash site in critical condition.

Herter to urge Latin help against Communist threats

Secretary of State Christian Herter prepared a hard line against Cuba at the OAS ministers meeting in San Jose Costa Rica urging condemnation of Soviet and Chinese influence in the hemisphere. Fire Ravages Biscuit Firm in Ottawa

A spectacular fire Monday night destroyed the west central Ottawa area warehouse of biscuit maker McCormicks Limited. Flames leaped up to 100 feet and menaced a nearby office building and a six unit apartment block before fire crews brought it under control after a two hour battle. A company official estimates damage at 100000 dollars. Cause was not determined.
