Thieves Target High End Laundry in Lower Sackville
Since June fashion conscious thieves have stolen designer jeans shorts and T shirts from clotheslines in Lower Sackville Nova Scotia. A resident lost a $100 angora sweater while other items worn by a police officer and sheets and a comforter were taken. RCMP Const. Brian Carter reports 14 such thefts this summer and urges residents to hang clothes only when home or have neighbors watch.

Leech Therapy Helps Grizzly Attack Victim Regrow Scalp
Doctors at Foothills Hospital treated Chris Pick after a grizzly bear attack by applying 100 leeches to his torn scalp during an eight hour operation. The leeches drained congested blood to keep tissue alive until new vessels formed, with hair beginning to regrow.
