An anonymous sender apologized with a cash gift of 150 dollars to the Nova Scotia Power office in Truro for a telephone pole broken around 1968. The note and money were deposited to an account for broken poles. The utility notes inflation would raise the current value to about 600 to 1500 dollars.

Police arrested a 68 year old Calgary man after a 3 40 pm bank robbery at a Toronto Dominion branch. He fled with cash and a shotgun was recovered. The suspect also linked to a Bank of Nova Scotia holdup last Friday. He requested heart pills after arrest.
