Calgary dig claims oldest North American site at 20000 years

Buried vault recovered from Ha Ha River mud

A 35 tonne bank vault swept away by last month’s flash floods was unearthed Thursday from the Ha Ha River mud near La Baie Quebec. The vault contained about $75 000 and 150 safety deposit boxes and was found about 300 metres from the former Saint Alexis de Grande Baie location after engineers used special equipment to locate it.
