The long awaited review of Alberta Attorney General Department policies on criminal investigations is delayed to mid September. Edmonton lawyer Howard Irving leads the Canadian Bar Association study for the Alberta branch and aims for a Sept 19 public release. The eight member committee began in February after interference allegations and had planned a June then August release. Meetings have been closed to the public.
Dome Canada Ltd reports a second quarter profit of 9.9 million dollars or 11 cents a share, up from 9.4 million or 11 cents a year earlier as oil and gas sales rise. Revenues reach 45.1 million dollars versus 31.6 million in 1983 due to higher taxation and lower royalty credits.
