Firefighters hold line as Swan Hills evacuation ends
Alberta officials said Swan Hills residents could return after firefighters contained a forest fire north of the town 180 kilometres northwest of Edmonton. About 2,000 of the 2,500 residents had been evacuated to Fort Assiniboine and Barrhead. the evacuation was the longest in five years. Wind shifts delayed an earlier end to the evacuation.
