Car a trap Kaplan says Soviet spy tried to recruit him
Former solicitor general Robert Kaplan, then a back bench MP in the 1970s, says a Soviet spy offered him a bargain priced car. He declined the car, alerted the RCMP, and noted the price seemed crazy. He did not disclose the car type. The spy allegedly implied blackmail over the car.

Man banned from driving for life in Canada
