Fire kills 25 at Salvation Army hostel in Melbourne

CALGARY CP The Alberta Hail Insurance Board may face a record number of insurance claims after hailstorms hit Southern and Central Alberta in the last three weeks. General manager J. M. McKay said 2,400 claims have been filed to date, more than double last year and the highest since 1960. He estimates eventual payout around 2.9 million dollars.
