Medicine Hat man charged with arson at WCB office

A 42 year old Medicine Hat man Michael Whelan was charged with arson and uttering death threats after he entered the Workers Compensation Board office on Thursday and set fires to computers and the front counter with gasoline. He was arrested after police and firefighters responded. the WCB office remained closed as cleanup continued. He is to appear in court Tuesday.
