Edward C. Fisher, Liberal Alberta organizer, says government may hold another session to satisfy U B A demand for general redistribution of seats. This could cut representation from sixty to thirty two or forty eight, depending on the case.
A morning blaze in Bow Island destroyed Chick's Store Swammenson's Hardware and the Citizens' Lumber Yard. Firefighters saved little. losses mount with stock and premises. Damages expected to be substantial and insurance not yet determined.

In an interview with The News, P Chester Thompson says the Sanctuary well derrick at Pakowki Lake is rebuilt and drilling has restarted. He cites a July collapse caused by a failed attempt to loosen an unsettled cement plug, which killed superintendent A D Brown during a derrick failure.
