Arthur Griffith president of Dail Eireann died in Dublin at 9:45 this morning in St Vincent's hospital after ten days of illness for typhlitis surgery. He had been recovering and had left the hospital daily for official duties before suddenly collapsing. A cerebral hemorrhage caused his death, with a priest administering last rites nearby.

Farmer fatally gored by bull at rural Ontario farm
Edmonton dated report states Joseph Toane a farmer about five miles south of the city was gored in the arm by an infuriated herd bull while in the gut buildings drawing water. He died the following day after being unable to recover from the wounds. His daughter in law was injured while trying to aid him. The bull was driven from the yard as help arrived. The farmer died Thursday morning at the farm.
