Five Edmonton People Drowned at Lac La Biche

Edmonton, Aug 10. Five well known Edmontonians are believed drowned after a Lake Lac La Biche disaster. Victims include Harry Flowers, manager of Summerville Hardware, his wife Mrs Flowers, Mrs Williams, wife of barrister J B Williams, Mrs Soper, wife of Treasury chief clerk EI Soper, and their 14 year old daughter Blaine. They were guests at the J D McArthur hotel and were in Flowers’ launch when a sudden storm capsized the boat. Search efforts by lake craft and local Indians have found no trace. a special train with friends will join the search tomorrow.
