Two Thieves Each Draw Six Months
In police court this morning Edwin S. Bourns plead guilty to stealing $7.15 from John Bradley at the Royal Hotel. He is 20, from Lethbridge, with no trade, and was sentenced to six months hard labor with deportation on completion. James O'Brien pled guilty to stealing two pairs of gloves and a pair of boots from Baker and Patten and H. Freeman. A lumberman born in Pembroke Ontario, 43, a Catholic, he will serve three months on each charge, consecutive, after admitting liquor influence.

Burned Sisters in Ivy and Violet Radcliffe Tragedy
Ivy and Violet Radcliffe two young sisters aged twelve and four of Samuel Radcliffe of Nelson British Columbia were badly burned this afternoon while their mother was away. Fort William Ont August 11 Walter Barlay fourteen years old was lost in the woods north of the city after wandering from his brother. He reached a settler's cabin and was brought home this morning. He says a bear freed him after he lost his bearings and he feared the animal might return. The boy endured nearly two days and a night without food but is not noticeably worse for the experience.
