Eric Wolf, 21, says he lost his job as a character escort at Paramount Canada's Wonderland after reprimanding a teenager who hit a coworker dressed as Yogi Bear. Wolf says he intervened to protect the employee and asked the youth to apologize, which the teen did.

Brown awaits decision on whether to pursue the matter, while prosecutors seek a longer term and the defence appeals as well.
Three teens aged 15 to 16 appear in provincial court in Edmonton facing murder, break and enter, and weapon charges in the death of Barb Danelesko. The judge will decide if the youths are tried as adults, with transfer hearings to follow over about two weeks. Evidence cannot be reported, and none of the suspects can be named due to Young Offenders Act.
Courtenay BC nurses center opens as a two year pilot to provide early health assessments and holistic care. Five registered nurses see about 100 visits, aiming to prevent hospital and doctor visits. A 74 year old with diarrhea found diet issues and home support arranged.
