Union Accepts Wage Price Offer In British Columbia Fishing Strike

In Vancouver the United Fishermen and Allied Workers Union and Indian fishermen backed a two year contract with the Fisheries Association of BC. Salmon fishermen may return to the grounds by Sunday 6 pm, with shore workers and tendermen resuming work as called. The agreement raises sockeye pay and adds monthly increases, retroactive to April 16, amid a two week strike that began July 25.

Harry J. Hargrave 50 of Lethbridge Alberta named director of a new agricultural division within the Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration. Soviet Accuses U S of Using Nuclear Talks as Cover
