Second Polio Case Reported in Medicine Hat and Calgary

Health officials report a second polio case in Medicine Hat with two-year-old Charlotte Miller and eight-year-old Bobby Jones in mild condition at Medicine Hat General Hospital. Calgary records three new city cases, bringing its total to 42 with 66 in the district. victims include a 27-year-old woman and two young girls. Second count underway in Winningdon amid tight Alberta election

In Winningdon, Edmonton area riding, the second count begins after Nick Dushenski of the CCF led by 67 votes over William Tomyn of Social Credit on the first count.
