Preliminary hearing on Pelton charge of embezzling wheat sale funds

The preliminary hearing for M. H. Pelton on charges of converting part of the money from the sale of a car of wheat, sold for Mr. Carson of Seven Persons, was held at Police Court before Magistrate Rae yesterday afternoon. Evidence from Mr. Carson and Mr. Sellars of Ogilvie Milling Co. was heard. Pelton was remanded for trial and released on 5000 bail. Counsel were Begg for the prosecution and R. R. Davidson for the defense.
